Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and Deniyaya Base Hospital

We have donated 100 dry food parcels to Paediatric Wards of Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and 50 parcels Paediatric Ward of Deniyaya Base Hospital on 18th December 2015.

A $ 15.00 worth food parcel includes Milk Powder, Biscuits, Chocolates, Jam, Tea, Sugar, Cheese, Colour Pencils, Colouring Book and a small toy. Orders will be placed through Keels supermarkets and on a nominated day they will directly delivered to the parcels to hospitals. Our representatives Jayantha Perera and Palitha Ranavaka distributed them to patients.

The DOT Charitable Foundation will bring smiles to seriously ill and hospitalized children on this Christmas and New Year season. Christmas and New Year is a wonderful time of the year, especially for kids, but spending it in a hospital is definitely no fun. The DOT Charitable foundation is organising to put a smile back on the faces of those children.

DONATION TO DENIYAYA BASE HOSPITAL

DONATION TO DENIYAYA BASE HOSPITAL

We are pleased to inform that The DOT charitable Foundation has donated LKR 415,000 worth Philips Sure Signs VM4 Patient Monitor to the paediatric unit of Deniyaya Base Hospital.

Mr Palitha Ranawaka a philanthropist from Deniyaya, has arranged the handover ceremony on behalf of the DOT including a blessing by venerable monks. Doctors, nurses and other hospital staff and well-wishers attended the ceremony.

Dr Parami Gunasekera, Paediatric Consultant who coordinated with us, addressed the gathering. She stated that children who are getting treatment from the hospital are very lucky to have this kind of monitor since such equipment is only available in Lady Ridgeway and General Hospitals.

This monitor helps to check vital signs of a sick child such as body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, ECG wave, oxygen content of body etc.

Thank you for all your great support!
