Tharashi’s Housing Project in Thissamaharama

We have started new year with a new hope and planed a project to help a very poor family in Thisamaharama, Hambanthota district.

The family has three school aged children who are studying in grade 5, 7 and 9 at Weerahela Kanitu Viduhala, Hambantota. Their father is a labourer, and mother is a housewife. She is also a burn victim due to an accident involving a kerosene lamp.

The DOT Foundation has fixed the 2 doors and a window of their home for the cost of LKR 64,005.00 (AUD 436.70). Previously they were covered in polythene sheets.

We are also happy to inform you that we have two sponsors to financially help children’s education needs by LKR 6,000.00 monthly

Thank you for Ms Nilani Siriwardena for coordinating the project.
